The OECD Observatory of Public Sector Innovation (OPSI)  and its partners at the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Research and Innovation are excited to convene innovators from around the world for a conference on Innovation in Government: The New Normal on 20-21 November 2017. The conference will highlight insights from OPSI’s work with countries that are transforming their operations and improving the lives of their people through innovation. It will bring together government leaders, public servants, and innovative partners in industry and civil society to connect, share experiences, and collaborate.

Stéphane Vincent is the founder and director of "la 27e Région" (Region 27), a French action-tank dedicated to the public sector created in 2008. La 27e Région explores new ways to improve public policies and policy making, inspired by service design, ethnography, open source and "makers" cultures. Its activity consists in action-research pluri-annual projects run in close partnership with governments and a community of cross-disciplinary professionals. La 27e Région also plays the role of a hub for the French community in the field of public sector innovation, and co-runs an open space called “Superpublic” based in Paris. La 27e Région is a non-profit independent association supported by local,  regional, national government, European funds and charities.

With a background in management and innovation, Stéphane's first experience within the public sector was in 1995. Seven years later, he became associates in a consultant agency focused on the public sector. He’s a regular speaker in national and international events, and writes or takes part to many books and reports. www.la27eregion.fr
