The OECD Observatory of Public Sector Innovation (OPSI)  and its partners at the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Research and Innovation are excited to convene innovators from around the world for a conference on Innovation in Government: The New Normal on 20-21 November 2017. The conference will highlight insights from OPSI’s work with countries that are transforming their operations and improving the lives of their people through innovation. It will bring together government leaders, public servants, and innovative partners in industry and civil society to connect, share experiences, and collaborate.

Graeme Head has held the statutory office of Public Service Commissioner for the state of New South Wales in Australia for the past six years. This role is responsible for all aspects of strategic workforce management in the public sector for Australia's largest jurisdiction.
Graeme has extensive experience in policy, regulation, regulatory reform, public sector workforce reform and strategy, and service delivery. He is a former Deputy Secretary of the Australian Department of Health and Ageing, a former Director-General of the NSW Department of Finance and Services and has held other many other senior roles in the Australian public sector over a long period, mostly in the environment and health portfolios.
