OECD
Counsellor for Strategic Foresight
Paris, France
My team and I help to strengthen strategic foresight across the OECD and bring a stronger future focus to global dialogue on key policy issues. This involves working closely with OECD staff, national governments and leading foresight practitioners worldwide to explore disruptive changes that could occur in the future – and their implications for policy decisions today. Our aim is to challenge prevailing assumptions and stimulate ongoing dialogue on the most adaptive policies for a rapidly evolving and uncertain world.

Before joining the OECD in December 2016 I worked in the Government of Canada, most recently as Director of Strategic Foresight at Policy Horizons Canada, a central strategic foresight organisation that coordinates foresight and systems thinking across the government.

Talk to me about… the future! What emerging changes do you see that could create surprises in the coming 10-15 years? What are some key critical uncertainties about the future of the digital transformation and its impacts in your area? What is the future of wellbeing? And will we still feel the ground under our feet when hiking in virtual reality?
